People in Apartheid




Post a comment responding to the image above.  Write a paragraph by responding to one more of these questions:

  1. This picture shows the segragation because the signs are for African Americans only.
    African Americans are being sperated from white people.
    The girl sucking on her pinckey shows how she is nervous beacause that is a nervous gesture.
    They probably felt this way because they were nervous of being taken and put to slave duties

  2. This vivid image is significant because of the reference to racism and segregation during this time period. By analyzing this picture, you can tell from the context of the sign and the sad facial expression of the young black girl that this period was a difficult time for those who were black or Asian. These races must have felt this way due to the unfair treatment they were caused by others during this time period

  3. Looking at this image it is obviously clear that the the young African child is upset and having the sense of unease. I also noticed that the sign behind the child states that Africans were not the only ones being treated unfairly but Asians as well.
