This shows that after Mandela dropped out of college that his future was changed fully. He began freedom fighting with determination and perseverance. It affected him by consuming large amounts of time and effort. Page 45: It states that Mandela was sentenced to life in jail, eluding the death penalty. This shows that because of his freedom fighting, it determined his destiny by receiving life in jail.
